Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Supported Independent Living (SIL) offers guidance or assistance with daily tasks at home to promote independence and skill development. This includes help with activities such as meal preparation and personal care. Designed for both shared and individual living arrangements, SIL provides continuous support, making it a popular choice for those seeking to enhance their independence and capabilities.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) offers tailored housing solutions for individuals with significant functional impairments or high support needs. These homes are designed for easier access, facilitating the delivery of any additional support services more effectively and safely. SDA provides both individual and shared living options, depending on personal requirements.
Short Term Accommodation (STA)
Short Term Accommodation (STA), including respite, provides temporary care and accommodation for participants who need a break from their usual home or when regular caregivers are unavailable. STA funding covers up to 28 days per year, which can be used flexibly. It includes personal care, accommodation, meals, and activities designed to support participants’ goals, such as increasing independence or trying new experiences.
Individualised Living Options (ILO)
Individualised Living Options (ILO) offer flexible and personalised living arrangements tailored to the unique needs and preferences of participants. ILO focuses on creating a living situation that aligns with the participant’s goals, emphasising independence and choice. Whether living alone, sharing with others, or residing with a host, ILO provides support that evolves with the participant’s changing needs, offering greater control over their living environment.
Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)
Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) supports participants who need temporary housing while awaiting permanent arrangements. MTA is ideal for those transitioning to long-term solutions, such as waiting for home modifications or a Supported Independent Living (SIL) arrangement. Covering accommodation for up to 90 days, MTA ensures participants have a safe place to stay during these transitions, facilitating stability and continuity of care.
